Friday Photos of Faith - Stone Cross

Stone cross created by Confirmandi
This cross was made by the young people preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation.  It was one of the actions as we prayed the stations of the cross.  It will stay as a visual reminder of the cross Jesus carried in one of the catechists front gardens.
The cross was made in response to an invitation to use the stones to represent the crosses we have to carry and as reminder to try and think of the challenges others face as we all try to follow Jesus.

Part of our reflection

Jesus, you know how it feels to carry a cross and to struggle and to fall.
Walk with us. Show us how to carry our cross and to be aware of the crosses others have to carry.

Stations of the Cross

During the season of Lent the Stations of the Cross are prayed
Wednesday and Friday at 6.15pm in the Cathedral
Sunday at 4.00pm
On the Cathedral year of Faith blog the Stations will feature as an object of Faith from 7th March and for the 14 days leading upto Good Friday starting on the 16th March there will be a reflection on each of the Scriptural Stations which were introduced by Pope John Paul II.

Feast of St David
